Girls golf wins another

Brush — Erika Balfanz and Erica Schlomer each tied for medalist honors with a score of 84, leading Windsor to a team victory at the Brush Invitational at Bunker Hill Country Club.

Balfanz rallied from one stroke behind Schlomer headed into the back nine holes to tie for first place. Balfanz was named the winner but won on a scorecard tiebreaker when she scored one stroke better than Schlomer on hole No. 7, the hole with the highest handicap.

Mikayla Breit finished third with an 87 to lead Greeley, which finished second in the team standings.

At Bunker Hill Country Club

Team Scores – 1. Windsor 263, 2. Greeley 292.

Top individuals – 1. Erika Balfanz* (W) 84, 1. Erica Schlomer (W) 84; 3. Mikayla Breit (G) 87; 4. Kylie Chrisman (G) 94.

Windsor – Balfanz 84, Schlomer 84, Kristen Heiden 95, Morgan Maack 96.
