Windsor Middle School principal Doug Englert said attendance rate after the third quarter is 96.1 percent.
Englert said the sixth-grade attendance rate is 96.3 percent, the seventh grade 95.9 percent and the eighth grade 95.9 percent. The middle school attendance rate for the third quarter was 95.3 percent, Englert said. The sixth-grade attendance rate was 95.5 percent, the seventh grade 95.1 percent and the eighth grade 95.2 percent.
Englert said 92 students out of 570 have perfect attendance after the first semester (16 percent of student body) and 164 had perfect attendance during the second quarter (29 percent of student body).
“Our 2010-2011attendance goal is to try to achieve at least a 95.9 percent attendance rate,” Englert said. “Last year’s rate was 96.1 percent. Students receiving perfect attendance for the entire school year will earn perfect attendance T-shirts and those missing three days or less will receive Winning Attendance certificates for 98 percent attendance.”
Englert said Ehrlich Toyota in Greeley will also give every sixth-grader who has perfect attendance a free mountain bike and helmet for their efforts. “We would like to congratulate students and parents for their efforts to have students in school every day,” Englert said. “Keep up the good work.”
