AURORA — With one big pass and a slew of suffocating defense, Windsor has taken a 7-0 lead against Silver Creek through the first half in the finals of the Class 3A state football tournament today at Legacy Stadium on the Cherokee Trail High School campus in Aurora.

Wizards junior outside linebacker Dustin Goodrich picked off an Austin Apodaca pass near midfield with 11 seconds left in the half.

One play later, Windsor junior quarterback Joe Sanger connected with senior Jacob Molina, who gained separation along the right sideline for a 42-yard touchdown pass with 5 seconds left in the half.
