Kudos to Mary Ann Little and Gary Schick on their recent letters on spending for education and securing our borders.
I want to comment on the recent articles in the paper about the president asking for more aid to foreign countries affected by AIDS, money to be spent for their inoculations and medicine.
AIDS is a terrible disease, but how can the United States send millions of dollars to foreign countries for this when we have people out of work and homeless in this country that we should be helping?
Another article about Obama and his relationship with the American Indians. In his own words, you have an administration that understands the challenges that you face and most importantly, you have a president thats got your back.
Is this arrogant man for real? American Indians have had and are getting support from the government, have their casinos and are doing quite well. This did not start with him. I dont know where this man got the idea that he thinks he is everyones saving grace, but doing it on our tax dollars.
He signed an executive order on tribal colleges. What in heavens name does that mean? More money going out and for what? If this was his personal money, I would say good for him. He is doing this to get their votes, but if they look at the record on his promises, they will see he doesnt follow through.
How much of his money does he spend on all of his campaign travels to get votes? I am against his spending my tax dollars to make himself look good, when there are people here who need the assistance in a far better way.
People who are wrapped up in themselves make a pretty small package, and this package is very small.
