David Hideo Nishimoto
David Hideo Nishimoto was born on June 8, 1941, to Harry and Mitsuyo Nishimoto in Fort Lupton, Colo. David graduated from Platteville High School in 1959. He briefly attend Colorado State University in Fort Collins until the calling of farming drew him back home.
David married Sarah Jane Morton on June 15, 1973, and two children were born of this union: Michelle in 1975, and Michael in 1976. David also had four stepchildren whom he loved as his very own. David will always be remembered as a caring, compassionate, and supportive father and grandfather.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Harry T. Nishimoto and Mitsuyo (Sunata) Nishimoto.
David leaves behind his daughter, Michelle Slocum of Greeley; and son, Michael Nishimoto of Loveland, Colo.; brother, Harry Nishimoto and wife Frances of Bellevue, Wash.; sister, June Greenwood and husband Bob of Souderton, Pa.
David was most proud of his four precious grandchildren, Morgan and Jaycie Slocum, and Blaide and Ronin Nishimoto. David is also survived by his four stepchildren and numerous stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church in Platteville, Colo. Cremation has been completed.
Memorial contributions may be made to the David Nishimoto Memorial Fund in care of Kibbey Fishburn Funeral Home in Loveland.
