The Colorado Department of Transportation said that it will close northbound and southbound Interstate 25 at Colo. 392 from 8 p.m.-6 a.m. Monday and Tuesday so crews can install bridge girders as part of the interstate improvement project
A press release from Ashley Mohr of CDOT said traffic will be detoured via the off- and on-ramps in both directions of I-25 at the Windsor/Colo. 392 exit (Exit 262). The Colo. 392 bridge over I-25 will also be closed Monday and Tuesday nights for all eastbound and westbound traffic, and detours will be in place and marked appropriately, said Mohr.
Also, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday, varying lanes of I-25 will be closed under the Colo. 392 bridge for concrete deck panels to be installed. Colo. 392 will continue to be closed across the I-25 bridge. No night work will take place Friday, Saturday, or Sunday of next week, Mohr said.
Motorists can expect the following lane closures next week, weather permitting:
On Monday and Tuesday, January 31 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., northbound and southbound I-25 will be closed at Exit 262 (Colo. 392). Traffic will be detoured up, over, and down the off- and on-ramps. Eastbound and westbound Colo. 392 will also be closed across the I-25 bridge.
Colo. 392 on the east side of I-25: Motorists will be detoured east to Larimer County Road 5 where they can travel north to Harmony Road or south to Crossroads Boulevard.
Colo. 392 on the west side of I-25: Motorists will be detoured on the Southwest Frontage Road where they can travel either north to Harmony Road or south to Crossroads Boulevard.
Wednesday and Thursday from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m., varying lanes of northbound and southbound I-25 will be closed at Exit 262 (Colo. 392). Eastbound and westbound Colo. 392 will be closed at the bridge. Detours will be marked.

Colo. 392 on the west side of I-25: Motorists will be detoured on the Southwest Frontage Road where they can travel either north to Harmony Road or south to Crossroads Boulevard.
Delays are possible and alternate routes are suggested. CDOT would like to remind motorists to obey all road signs and flaggers, and to drive slow for the Cone Zone.
The work is part of a $17.5 million project that replaces the Colo. 392 bridge over I-25 with one that is wider to accommodate two lanes in each direction as well as a left-turn lane in each direction. There will also be a six-foot bike lane and a 6.5-foot sidewalk on each side of the bridge. The frontage road on the west side of the interchange will be realigned, and the ramps will be designed to accommodate more traffic. In addition, an expanded 90-space carpool/vanpool lot will be constructed in the southwest corner of the interchange.
