A dry weekend is in store with a good deal of sunshine and slightly warmer temperatures. Following Fridays cold blast behind the cold front, a warming trend will start today. Highs will aim for the low to mid 40s under partly sunny skies. Any snow that fell Friday on the plains will have no trouble melting today with the sunshine.
If you plan on taking advantage of the recent heavier snow in the high country, use caution driving up as roads may still be slick and snow-covered in spots. As high pressure builds into northern Colorado, it will keep the skies clear overnight. Lows will dip to the teens.
Sunday will feature more sunshine and slightly warmer temperatures around 50 degrees. The weather pattern appears to be a quiet one as we close out January. There are no big storms on the horizon going into the start of the upcoming work week.
