January is coming to an end on a mild note, with forecast highs aiming for the mid to upper-50s today across Weld county. This will make readings some 10 to 15 degrees above average for this time of year. An occasional breeze will come through, but it will not be as windy as the past few days. Currently, high pressure is cresting over the region, which will provide a good deal of sunshine today. There also will be some mountain wave clouds in the mix filtering out the sun at times through the afternoon. By midweek, a series of weak systems will clip the state and pull in some cooler air into northern Colorado, bringing highs back to the 40s. The mountains will pick up a few rounds of light snow with this pattern, but significant accumulation is not expected. Thursday looks to be the best chance for some of these flurries and snow showers to make their way down to the Greeley area, but as of right now that chance is low.
