Thank you for believing in Skyview

From Oct. 24 to Dec. 9, 2011, Skyview Elementary School competed in a national competition to win a $50,000 educational grant or one of four $25,000 grants from the Clorox Company. The winners have been announced and sadly Skyview was not among them. It was an honor and a privilege to be a part of this competition.

On behalf of Skyview’s faculty, staff and students, I give our sincere gratitude to those who voted and to the many businesses that helped us promote the competition. A huge thank you to Li’l Flower Shop and Windsor Severance Fire Rescue for handing out flyers during the Downtown Trick-or-Treating; also to Best Insurance Agency for putting our voting information on their outdoor sign.

I would especially like to thank Rocky Mountain Business Ventures and Mail N Copy for donating our promotional materials.

Last, but not least, I would like to thank Windsor Now! and the Windsor Beacon for bringing community awareness to Skyview’s goal of winning this grant.
