The Windsor-Severance Re-4 schools are closed today (Friday) due to severe winter weather conditions. According to Re-4 superintendent Karen Trusler, all after-school activities and sporting events are also canceled.

Trusler said information regarding weekend activities will be updated on school Web sites throughout the day as it becomes available.

"At 4 a.m., we had drivers out and rural routes were icy and drifting with the prediction up to a foot of snow with wind makes it hazardous," Trusler said. "We've got Poudre closed, and Thompson closed."
