FirstBank reports assets, deposits up

FirstBank Holding Co., based in Lakewood, has reported assets topped $9 billion and deposits topped $8 billion as of March 31.

John A. Ikard, president of the holding company, stated in a press release, assets were up 10 percent and, and deposits increased 8 percent. Net income for the first quarter of 2008 was about $23 million, up 19 percent from the same period a year ago.

FirstBank of Northern Colorado reported assets of $285.9 million on March 31.

The bank has four locations including two in Greeley at 2901 23rd Ave., and at 47th Avenue and 10th Street. Other locations are in Fort Collins, Loveland, and Windsor.

FirstBank has 120 locations in Colorado, three in California and four in the Phoenix area and is the largest locally owned banking organization in Colorado, serving more than 600,000 customers. Management and employees own a majority of its stock.
