Staff Report May 9, 2008 CommentsPrintEmail Eaton's Bo McLavey pitched a complete-game four-hitter and Kyle Ottoson drove in what would be the game-winning run against Roosevelt, leading the Reds to a 3-0 victory earlier today in a Class 3A State Baseball Tournament game at Greeley's Butch Butler Field.
The victory lifted the Reds into a second-round matchup against top-ranked Faith Christian, a 15-6 winner of No. 8 seed Bayfield. The Eaton/Faith Christian game began at 3 p.m.
McLavey struck out five, walked two and allowed four hits in seven innings. Ottoson, who finished 2-for-2 batting, drove in a run in the second inning to put Eaton up for good at 1-0. Logan Hall and Sterling Monfort also drove in runs for Eaton.
