Anadarko Patroleum Corp., EnCana Oil & Gas (USA) Inc. and Noble Energy Inc. will host the first-ever Denver Julesburg Basin Energy Expo from 12:30-7 p.m. on Tuesday at Island Grove Regional Park Exhibition Building, 501 N. 14th Ave. The event will offer people the opportunity to learn more about natural gas and energy development in the area. Exhibiting companies and organizations -- including the American Petroleum Institute, the Colorado Oil & Gas Association and Independent Petroleum Association of Mountain States -- will be on-hand to answer questions and discuss the future of energy production in the area.
The event also will provide an up-close view of new technology and other innovations now being used by the industry. In addition to speaking with industry experts, participants may visit a variety of educational exhibits that feature industry equipment used in during exploration and production.
Before the expo opens to the public at 12:30 p.m., the event also will feature a chance for students from Colorado high schools a chance to experience the expo for themselves.
