The Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission will hold a workshop in Denver on Wednesday to discuss lessons learned from the September 2013 floods.
The workshop will be held from 2-5 p.m. at the Hershner Room in the Wells Fargo Building, 1700 Lincoln St.
The floods along the Front Range and eastern plains of Colorado inundated oil and gas facilities located near flooded streams. Production facilities were damaged by rushing flood waters and debris. Colorado experienced spills of oil, condensate and produced water.
The commission is evaluating flood “lessons learned” in order to understand whether new policies or rules are needed across the state.
