Costco will open its new 148,000-square-foot store Oct. 1 in Timnath, at the intersection of Harmony Road and Interstate 25.
Timnath Mayor Jill Grossman-Belisle said the new store is expected to create about 200 full-time-equivalent jobs in the store and another 120 full-time-equivalent jobs for the construction work.
“We’re excited about Costco being here and bringing good, solid jobs to the community. The way they treat their employees, and their quality benefits — they are a top-notch employer, as well as a great place to shop,” Grossman-Belisle said.
The store will include a 132,000-square-foot main building, a 5,700-square-foot tire service center, a 4,000-square-foot liquor store, a 1,300-square-foot food service area, and a gas pad, according to planning documents.
Sales from the store are conservatively projected to range from $60 million to $115 million annually, however, Grossman-Belisle said an average store for Costco yields about $155 million in sales annually.
“We couldn’t be more excited, not just for not just Timnath, but for all of northern Colorado,” Grossman-Belisle said.
