Zada Jane Yestness, 87, of Windsor, passed away at Medical Center of the Rockies on April 8.
She was born July 11, 1926, in Holyoke, Colo., to Lester Ray and Zada Frances (Benjamin) Eickmeier.
Jane graduated from Palisade High School and attended the University of Colorado and the University of Nebraska. She taught in Hulett, Wyo., and Leadville for 20 years.
She then moved to Windsor and worked at Kodak.
She was a member of Sons of Norway, Windsor Senior Citizens and delivered for Meals on Wheels for 15 years.
Jane enjoyed playing bridge and pinochle, attending grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s sporting events and activities, and was an avid Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies fan.
She is survived by Donald Yestness; daughter, Kristi (John) Quinlan; daughter-in-law, Brenda Yestness; grandchildren, Nissa (Shaun) Yestness, Sean (Cyndi) Quinlan, Larissa Quinlan and Astrid (Dylan) McGill; great-grandchildren, Ashlynn, Danielle, Reece, William, Brayden, Vina and Lochlan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Steven Yestness; and three brothers.
A gathering was held Friday at the Allnutt Reception Center. The family requested attendees bring a memory to share.
