Downtown Development Authority looks to improve downtown facades

The Downtown Development Authority recently approved a Façade Improvement Program designed to assist property and business owners, within the authority’s boundary, in the renovation of building façades.

The goal of the program is to improve the aesthetics of individual storefronts and the downtown, increase visitors, enhance property values, and increase sales tax revenues. Funds of $100,000 have been budgeted for the effort in 2014. Business and property owners that are located within the DDA boundary are encouraged to apply.
