Town approves 155-acre annexation

The Windsor Town Board approved a resolution annexing the 155-acre Labue Farm into the town during the board’s May 12 meeting.

The area is located northeast of Weld County roads 15 and 62.

Along with the annexation, the applicant, Patrick McMeekin, also entered into an agreement with the Windsor-Severance Re-4 School District to grant it a 50-acre school site on the east side of the property, according to a town memo detailing the agenda item.

The memo also states McMeekin is looking into the possibility of including a regional park that could serve the town as well as new residents in the area.

The board unanimously approved the resolution annexing the parcel into the town.
