Windsor Now’s new format brings better display of news, photos and ads

Call it our seven-year itch.

When you read Windsor Now today, you’ll notice right away that the format has changed.

In the industry, we call it moving to a “broadsheet” newspaper instead of the “tab” format of the previous Windsor Nows that have been delivered to your home every Sunday.

It was exactly seven years ago, on July 4, 2007, that we launched a new publication called Windsor Now. Our more loyal readers know Windsor Now has changed its publication frequency and its format a couple times over the years. What’s never changed is our dedication to providing Windsor residents with the news, features and advertising they want to stay connected to their community.

Today, on our seven-year anniversary, we begin a new era.

The smaller tab format was limiting in our display of news and advertising. With the broadsheet, we can give bigger display to photos, and get more creative with layout and design to enhance the reading experience.

Although the look will change, we’ll continue to bring you the most complete coverage of your community, thanks to the efforts of reporters Tom Fasano and Casey Kelly, and photographers Jim Rydbom and Joshua Polson. We’ll continue to produce just as much Windsor news and advertising, and be able to give it even better and bigger display for our readers. We think you’ll also notice better photo reproduction, with color photos and ads on every page rather than some pages that were forced to be black-and-white in the tab format.

We hope you’ll enjoy our new format and continued coverage of the people, institutions and events that make Windsor such a special community.

Editor, Windsor Now! and Greeley Tribune
