Weld County coroner identifies driver killed in Aug. 8 car crash

The Weld County coroner reported Monday that a driver injured in a car crash on Aug. 8 died Aug. 16.

Delbert Hall, 73, of Windsor was traveling westbound on Weld County Road 74 in a 1987 Ford pickup when he was involved in a crash with two other vehicles at the intersection of Weld County Road 33 near Eaton.

Hall initially survived the crash and was taken to North Colorado Medical Center, where he was treated. Hall died later in hospice on Aug. 16.

His next of kin have been notified. An autopsy was not conducted.

The crash also involved a 2004 Chevy pickup driven by a 56-year-old man and a 2001 Toyota sedan driven by a 41-year-old woman.

The 56-year-old man was also taken to NCMC for treatment but the extent of his injuries was not reported. The woman involved in the accident was not injured.

The crash is being investigated by the Colorado State Patrol.
