Goetzel

Robert Goetzel of Greeley will celebrate his 80th birthday with a surprise open house from 2-4 p.m. Aug. 19 at 2320 24th St., Greeley, hosted by his wife, Marjorie, and children, Mike Goetzel and Linda Goetzel Quist. Friends and family are invited and asked to omit gifts.

Bob was born Aug. 28, 1932, in Lafayette. He has spent most of his life in the Greeley area.

In 1956, he married Marjorie Harris. They just celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on July 14.

Bob worked on a farm with his dad. He later worked for Monfort Packing Plant where he became an electrician. He went to work as an electrician in 1980, and retired in 1998.

Bob has five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
