The Rist Canyon Fire Department volunteers along with Windsor Severance Fire Rescue members and the Wing Shack Windsor owners got together recently for a check presentation.

Wing Shack Windsor, 1261 Main St., provided dinner to everyone and WSFR presented a check in the amount of $1,648 to the Rist Canyon volunteers that was raised during the chicken wing-eating contest sponsored by Wing Shack on July 8.

The Rist Canyon firefighters fought the High Park fire that broke out June 9 west of Fort Collins.

“We raised over $2,000,” said Stephanie Seifried, marketing and public relations manager for Wing Shack.
