GOOD FOR YOU: Windsor girls clean up in mud volleyball tournament

Once again, the Windsor Harvest Festival Mud Volleyball Tournament on Sept. 1 at Diamond Valley was a muddy hit.

One of the big winners during the tournament, which always kicks off Harvest Festival, were the “Muddi-Angels,” the first-place girls team in the youth 15-and-younger division. All the girls on the team are from Windsor, and included Tori Rehor, Riley Staples, Jordyn Cook, Bryn Horton, Storm Rehor, Genna Campain, Bria Duvall and Annie Campain.

“Ace in Your Face” was the winner of the adult division.

Windsor recreation supervisor Kendra Martin said 60 teams participated in the tournament. Martin said it was by far the biggest turnout in mud volleyball tournament history.

Of the 95 entries at the Harvest Festival parade, the winners included: first place $100 — Timberline Church Windsor, The Vets Animal Hospital, Fritzler Corn Maze, Severance 4-H, Ellsworth Zoller, Kiowa Creek Coaches LLC and the Windsor High School Band.

Second place $50 went to: Faith United Church, Garden Valley Vet Hospital, Contemporary Studios, Windsor High School football team, Classic Tractor & Mower and Lucky Star Equine.
