Windsor Middle School attendance rate more than 97 percent for first quarter

The Windsor Middle School attendance rate after the first quarter was 97.2 percent.

“Super job to students, parents and staff,” Principal Doug Englert said.

The sixth-grade attendance rate was 97.9 percent, the seventh-grade rate was 97.2 percent and eighth grade was 96.4 percent. Overall, 282 students out of 591 have perfect attendance after the first quarter, Englert said.

“This is 48 percent of our student body. Our 2012-13 attendance goal is to try to achieve at least a 95.9 percent attendance rate,” Englert said. “Last year’s rate was 96.5 percent, which was a new all-time high for Windsor Middle School. Students receiving perfect attendance for the entire school year will earn perfect attendance T-shirts and those missing three days or less will receive winning attendance certificates for 98 percent attendance.

“Eighth-graders with three years of perfect attendance will get a limo ride to their choice of restaurants in Windsor, followed by a trip to their favorite place for dessert. We would like to congratulate students and parents for their efforts to have students in school every day.”

The following 282 Windsor Middle School students have perfect attendance for the first quarter of school.
