Windsor Middle School principal Doug Englert placed on paid administrative leave

Longtime Windsor Middle School principal Doug Englert has been placed on paid administrative leave until further notice, according to the home page of the school’s website.

The update about Englert was placed on the website after school Friday. It also said that effective immediately, assistant principal/athletic director Eric Johnson has been named the acting principal of the middle school.

The website didn’t state the reason for the action, and it said information will be released as it becomes available.

Englert, 56, has been the principal at Windsor Middle School since 1994. Before coming to Windsor, he was the assistant principal at Fort Lupton Middle School.

Johnson is in his first year at Windsor Middle School. He came to Windsor from Valley High School in Gilcrest where he was the assistant principal and athletic director.
