Colorado Ag Classic set for Dec. 12-13 in Loveland

The eighth annual Colorado Ag Classic will take place Dec. 12-13 at the Embassy Suites in Loveland.

The Colorado Ag Classic is the joint convention of the Colorado Association of Wheat Growers, the Colorado Corn Growers Association, the Colorado Sunflower Administrative Committee and the Colorado Seed Growers Association.

Speakers at the two-day event will include Commissioner of Agriculture John Salazar and John Wiesemeyer, senior vice president of Informa Economics, with topics including drought, the Colorado cantaloupe listeria crisis, genetically modified organism activism and many others.

A trade show will also take place during the Colorado Ag Classic. Representatives from agricultural businesses from around the state will answer questions on their products.

Additionally, a “Casino Night” is planned on Dec. 12.
