Greeley’s Young appointed to four House committees

Greeley Democrat Dave Young was appointed to four Colorado House committees by Speaker-designate Mark Ferrandino, completing the House committee of reference assignment process for the 2013 General Assembly.

“The House committees are where every piece of proposed legislation gets its most thorough vetting,” said Ferrandino in a news release. “With this much expertise, experience, enthusiasm and energy on hand, I’m confident we’ll produce excellent policy for the people of Colorado.”

Young, who represents most of Greeley, Evans and Garden City in state House District 50, was appointed to the following House committees: Appropriations; Education; Health, Insurance and Environment; and is the vice chairman of the Public Health Care and Human Services.
