The Windsor-Severance Re-4 District will be conducting two free developmental screenings in February for children ages 1 month to 5 years old and not yet attending kindergarten.
According to a news release, the purpose of the screening is to identify children who may be in need of special education services and/or to provide information regarding early childhood development. A screening is required if parents/guardians are interested in participating in the Colorado preschool program.
The screenings are two-part and include vision/hearing testing and a developmental screening. The vision/hearing screenings will be held Feb. 11, and developmental screenings on Feb. 25.
A vision/hearing screening is required prior to the developmental screening.
Parents/guardians interested in scheduling an appointment, or for further information, may contact Karen Hein at (970) 686-8411.
These screenings are not mandatory to register for tuition preschool, and do not enroll you in the tuition preschool program. If interested in the preschool program, go to the preschool website,, for more information.
I’d like to see the fog lift and see where we lie in it. I don’t think we’ve got a firm grasp. I want time. That’s all I’m asking for is time.
