Elvis will be in the building at House of Windsor on Saturday
The legendary Elvis is making an appearance from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the House of Windsor, 430 Main St., for its “Fifties at Five” event.
With guitar in hand and singing “Blue Suede Shoes,” Elvis impersonator and entertainer George Gray will be at the event with his “Elvis Experience” show.
According to House of Windsor co-owner Sally Brunk, the free event is open to the public and will feature House of Windsor’s old-fashioned shakes and malts, hot dogs, ice cream sundaes, vintage candy, traditional ice cream sodas, special discounts, live music, photos with Elvis and dancing to the tunes of yesteryear.
“We started the Fifties at Five events on Saturdays to create an ‘American Graffiti’-type atmosphere in our shop for this spring and summer,” Brunk said. “The Elvis Experience is a great way to showcase how Elvis kicked off the rock ’n’ roll genre with his great music and famous dancing.
“Take a trip back to the 1950s and help celebrate by dressing up in your favorite garb, and check out the hot rods and vintage cars parked at the corner of 5th and Main streets in downtown next Saturday.”
