The Windsor-Severance Library offers volunteer opportunities for more than 40 volunteers every year. Many teens volunteer for a few hours in the summer while others generously help out all year long.
This month’s volunteer of the month, Tyler Offerman, is one of our most loyal volunteers. He has worked at the library for four-and-a-half years, doing everything from basic cleaning and organizing to shelving books and helping with library programs.
Offerman is a senior at Mountain View High School. He plans to be an engineer and works at Little Caesar’s Pizza.
Offerman and his family have lived in Windsor for almost six years. They enjoy hiking and recently took a trip to New England to hike in the Appalachian Mountains. Offerman also enjoys reading. His favorite books are the “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” series, by Douglas Adams and the “Ender’s Game” series, by Orson Scott Card.
He says, “I am very grateful for this library. No matter what mood I come in with, I always leave calm and happy.” The Windsor-Severance Library staff appreciates that Offerman shares his time and talents with the library patrons. Thank you, Tyler for being an outstanding Windsor-Severance Library Volunteer.
