The Windsor High School theater department is a semifinalist in a contest with NBC, the television show SMASH, and Lowe’s to update its theater space in the auditorium, but the high school needs the help of the community.

According to theater director Julie Estrada, the theater department needs votes every day to win this contest.

“You can contact friends, family and co-workers via Facebook, in person, by email, phone, etc. to let them know that they can vote at: www.makeamusical.org and go to the Time to Vote link.

Estrada said Windsor High School is listed at the bottom of the page and is in seventh place. (The schools with the top 5 amount of votes win the grand prize).

“You can vote once a day from each IP address (computer, laptop, iPad, iPhone, smart phone, etc) from now until April 10,” Estrada said.
