AN ANGEL APPEARS FROM aTOP STAIRCASE
At 8:13 p.m. March 8, police were called to the 400 block of 10th Street regarding a possible burglary in progress. Dispatch told police that the reporting party came home from a two-week vacation and the woman’s 2-year-old daughter said that she saw an angel come out from hiding, and that they wanted the house searched. Police searched the house and found no one in the house. The mother told police that she and her daughter were sitting on the couch in the living room when the 2-year-old daughter looked up at the top of the stairs and said she saw an angel that had just come out of hiding. She said her daughter got scared and they left to go to the neighbor’s house. The reporting party said she thought there may have been someone in her house who got in while they were gone on vacation.
SMELLS LIKE WEED TO ME: At 11:21 a.m. March 6, police were called to the parking lot of McDonald’s, 1061 Main St., to the area known as “the island” regarding an odor of marijuana. When police arrived, they contacted the reporting party who explained that she and another lady were outside McDonald’s when they could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the parking lot. The reporting party thought it was coming from the kids at the island. Police drove by and didn’t observe any marijuana or marijuana paraphernalia. Police were unable to smell the odor of marijuana. Police also spoke to a McDonald’s employee who was at the island, and the employee told police that nobody was smoking marijuana.
LISTENING TO SOME TUNES WHILE WAITING TO PICK UP HIS GRANDSON: At 2:26 p.m. March 6, police were called to Skyview Elementary School, 1000 Stone Mountain Drive, regarding a suspicious vehicle. Dispatch told police that a male was sitting in his white Honda Impreza near the playground, and that the male arrives approximately one hour before school gets out. Police contacted the man and he told them that he gets to school every day around 2 p.m. and listens to the radio while waiting to pick up his grandson at Skyview.
