David Christopher DuPriest, 53, of rural Windsor, died Aug. 26, 2013 at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland.
He was born Dec. 8, 1959 in Denver to Donald and Carol (Nelson) DuPriest. He graduated from Alameda High School in Lakewood. David attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. He worked at Firestone Tires in Lakewood. He moved north of Windsor to help his parents run the family farm and to help take care of his parents and grandmother.
David enjoyed cooking and was an excellent marksman. He read endless books on world history, a subject that fascinated him. He was a good big brother and was very loving and caring to his family. He especially enjoyed doing things for his niece and nephew.
Mr. DuPriest is survived by his mother, Carol DuPriest of Windsor; brothers Kevin DuPriest of Santa Fe and James of Fjaros, Sweden; his niece Emma DuPriest; and nephew Lucas DuPriest.
He is preceded in death by his father, Donald DuPriest.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Evangelical Free Church, 700 Pine Drive, Windsor with the Rev. Rodney Carlson officiating.
