Loveland — Participants in the next Northern Colorado Honor Flight will gather at 6:30 a.m. Sunday at the Embassy Suites, 4705 Clydesdale Parkway, for their trip to Washington, D.C.
This will be the 11th honor flight from northern Colorado since 2008. In that time, about 1,500 veterans from World War II, Korea and later Purple Heart recipients have participated.
This flight will give the experience to more veterans than before, adding four seats. There is now room for 124 veterans and 62 guardians. This flight is called the Martin Lind Family Flight, to thank the Lind family and company for their support. Their donations since the first flight total enough to pay for an entire flight.
