Town of Windsor celebrating Volgafest on Saturday at Community Recreation Center

Volgafest set for Saturday

The Town of Windsor will hold its annual Volgafest celebration honoring Windsor’s Volga German heritage, from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at the Windsor Community Recreation Center, 250 N. 11th St. Admission is free for the event.

Volgafest celebrates the traditions of Volga Germans who settled in Windsor in the early 20th century from Russia’s Volga River region. The traditions that will be part of the event include Dutch Hop music and dance.

Music will be provided by the River Boys. Food and beverages will be available for purchase courtesy of Dorothy’s Catering, and a cash bar will be provided by the Windsor Lions Club.
