Radio personalities from Windsor’s own KUAD-FM 99.1 — K99 — country station are preparing to accept a major music award. And it’s not the first time.
The Country Music Association this week named Brian Gary, Todd Harding and Susan Moore — known on air as the Good Morning Guys — as the small market radio personalities of the year. What’s more, the award comes during the 25th year the morning show has been on the air.
“There are no words; we are blown away to see this market continually recognized by the Country Music Association,” Gary said in a news release. “When we started here 25 years ago, there were no country music stations in northern Colorado. It’s hard to put into words how much it means to be honored for doing something that you love.”
The trio also took home the award in 2008. Winners each year are picked after three rounds of votes that are cast by industry leaders and peers within the Country Music Association. The group will attend the 47th annual CMA awards Nov. 6 to personally accept the honor.
“We are all extremely proud of Brian, Todd and Susan for their accomplishments this year and for the past 25 years on K99,” said George King, the station’s operations manager. “Their dedication and commitment to the community and country music is extraordinary and this award is well deserved!”
