Strengthening Families 10-14 Program Offered in Windsor in January

Families with children ages 10-14 at Windsor Middle School, Windsor Charter Academy and Severance Middle School now have a way to improve communication, reduce family drama and experience more positive interactions, thanks to a free program sponsored by Weld County Prevention Partners.

The Strengthening Families 10-14 course is offered from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday nights from Jan. 8 to Feb. 19.

WCPP is hosting the free, seven-week program at Windsor Middle School.

“Families learn how to solve problems, bond together as a family, grow and have fun through a series of exercises and classroom discussions,” Nancy Haffner, Strengthening Families 10-14 Program Coordinator, said. “The program is designed by experts and has a proven track record of success.”

A free light meal is provided, as well as free child care for children ages 9 and younger.

Families who wish to participate in the free program should contact Haffner at (970) 518-2533. Additional information about the course is available at www.wcpreventionpartners.org/strengtheningfamilies.
