Town of Windsor provides application info for upcoming April election
The Town of Windsor municipal election will be held April 8 for town board members to represent districts two, four and six.
For registered electors in districts two, four and six who wish to run for a board member position, candidate packets will be available beginning Tuesday at the Town of Windsor website at www.windsorgov.com or at Windsor Town Hall, 301 Walnut St.
Nominations petitions will be available for pick up beginning Jan. 21. Petitions can be circulated beginning Jan. 21, and must be turned in to the town clerk’s office by 5 p.m. Feb. 10.
To run for a board member position, a person must:
» be a registered voter.
» be a citizen of the United States.
» be at least 18 years of age by election day.
» be a Windsor resident who has lived in Windsor and in their respective District for at least 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the election.
» not have been convicted of a felony.
» not be an employee of the town.
The district map, along with additional information regarding the upcoming election, is available on the town’s website at www.windsorgov.com, under Town News Center and Municipal Elections.
