September 6, 2017
Without enough candidates to hold a race this election, Aim Community College officials canceled the November board of trustees election and appointed the two available candidates.
According to news release from Aims, designated election official Carrie Schaefer-Randolph declared Gene O'Hara and Ray Peterson elected to four-year terms because they were the only candidates for the two positions. They will be sworn in at the Dec. 13 board meeting, according to Aims spokeswoman Laura Coale.
O'Hara will represent District D, which includes Greeley and Evans. Peterson will represent Eaton, Windsor, Ault-Highland, Briggsdale, New Raymer and Grover.
