Aims Community College to offer cybersecurity certificate

Aims Community College on Tuesday announced it will offer a new cybersecurity specialist certificate starting in the fall 2017 semester.

Those interested in learning more about the certificate may attend an information session at 4:30 p.m. April 24 in room 123 of Ed Beaty Hall on the Greeley campus, 5401 20th St.

The new certificate is designed to prepare students for entry into the cybersecurity field, according to an Aims news release. Courses are designed to provide an overview of network security and knowledge related to data confidentiality, integrity and availability, according to the release.

Classes also will help students prepare to take various certification exams.
