Art and Heritage Center to host interactive exhibit

The Windsor Art and Heritage Center will host the interactive traveling exhibit "Native American Experience: A Peek Into the Past," June 15 through Sept. 3.

According to a news release from the town of Windsor, the interactive exhibit is geared toward children and will focus on the daily life of Plains Indians.

Through the "Native American Experience," children will simulate cooking fresh trout over a fire and will experience what it was like to live in a tipi, grind corn and beat an elk skin drum, awccording to the release.

The exhibit is free and open to the public from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursdays, and noon to 4 p.m. Fridays through Sundays at the Art and Heritage Center, 116 5th St.
