Bangert: Beginning this week, you’ll see another day of Windsor Now

Bangert

Ever since launching Windsor Now 10 years ago, we've had multiple conversations about when are the best days to publish our newspaper and deliver it to your driveway.

For several years now, we have been a Sunday publication.

The conversations about our publication schedule have continued, however, and beginning this week, you'll see a change.

We're going to be dipping our toe in a twice-a-week publication schedule. You'll see a Windsor Now in your driveway on Wednesdays, beginning this week, and a Sunday publication will continue for the time being.

Why, you may ask?

Well, we think we can be more timely with at least some of the Windsor news that we produce every week. We think advertisers may prefer a mid-week publication. We can keep you up-to-date on things you need to know before the weekend — not only the news, but also the great shopping deals that you will find heading into the weekend.

The Wednesday publication likely will be the biggest paper of the week. Sunday's Windsor Now likely will include more sports coverage from the Thursday, Friday and some Saturday high school sports events.

But in both papers, you'll continue to see coverage of town government, Windsor schools, Windsor Wizards sports, business news, and human interest feature stories that we think set us apart as one of the premier weekly newspapers — er, we mean twice-weekly newspapers — in the state of Colorado.

We hope you enjoy your new Windsor Now on Wednesdays. As always, feel free to drop me a line if you have suggestions for coverage, or feedback on our content. Keep your eyes open in future weeks for more new elements in Windsor Now, and we will keep you informed about whether our Sunday publication will continue.

Thank you in advance for being a devoted Windsor Now reader. We rely on you to help us cover the news of your community, and we can't tell you enough how much we already appreciate the reader feedback and story tips we continually receive from Windsor and Severance residents.
