Betty Stromberger to celebrate 80th birthday with open house Saturday

Betty Stromberger of Windsor will celebrate her 80th birthday with an open house reception hosted by her family from 2-5 p.m. on Sept. 12 at Bethel Lutheran Church, 328 Walnut St. Friends and family are invited and asked to omit gifts.
Betty was born Aug. 17, 1929 in Windsor to Dave Jr. and Pauline Weinmeister. Betty and her family farmed in the Severance, Bracewell, Gilcrest and Windsor areas where Betty attended various country schools.
Betty married Jacob Stromberger on Nov. 26, 1950 at St. John’s Lutheran church in Windsor. Together they have four children, Harold and wife Debbie of Severance, Sharon and husband Brian Grueber of Nelson Neb., Darlene and husband Roger Thornton of Lone Tree and the late Charlene Stromberger. Betty has four grandchildren, Karl Grueber, Ahren Grueber, Adam Stromberger and Lydia Bradley.
Betty enjoys being an active member of Bethel Lutheran Church, cooking, baking, spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Cards and written memories would be welcomed at the reception or sent to Betty’s home.
