Change in the weather on the way for Greeley, Weld County

A change in the weather is on the way.

After a high temperature of 78 degrees Wednesday, forecasters expect a cool-down for the end of the week. Thursday's high will reach 64, with a low of 40. We'll see a 30 percent chance of rain, mostly after 4 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. The chance of rain rises to 80 percent overnight. Friday, temperatures will fall even further, and snow is possible.

Friday's high is expected to reach 49 degrees, with a 70 percent chance of showers, mostly before noon. The nighttime low is expected to fall to 37 degrees, with a 30 percent chance of precipitation, including a chance of snow.

The precipitation is expected to stick around for Saturday, but highs will rise, reaching 59 degrees. By Sunday, blue skies are expected to return, as are high temperatures in the mid-70s.
