Feral cat organization close to raising money for new van but deadline approaches
May 21, 2014
Northern Colorado Friends of Ferals, an organization that traps, "fixes" and then returns feral cats back to their home, is close to raising enough money to buy a transport van with the deadline just 10 days away. In this 2012 file photo, Robyn O'Kane, a veterinary student at Colorado State University, holds a cat in recovery from a low-cost spay and neuter clinic in the Greeley area.
The organization has raised just under $16,000 and needs $18,000 to buy the cat transport van. Friends of Ferals raised the money through grants, private funding and crowdfunding with LoveAnimals.org and has until May 30 to raise the additional $2,000.
Northern Colorado Friends of Ferals has fixed nearly 3,700 cats in Larimer and Weld counties in five years.
