GRIDIRON DIARY: Despite some bumps and bruises, it’s time to shine

Conner Glenn

Welcome to my Gridiron Diary week 2:

We’ve been preparing for Frederick this week, and we are ready to go into battle on Friday night.

I am feeling the pain from a couple bumps and bruises, but I will be good to go come Friday night at our house. Coming off the Fossil win was good and the team is healthy for the most part which is good to have. So, needless to say, we are ready to fight a physical Frederick team.

All in all, it’s been an up-and-down week for me, dealing with some bumps and bruises here and there, but my body will overcome the pain when my adrenaline kicks in. But, I am excited to take the field and just run north and south.

Last week was last week, and I am ready to take our field with my teammates and make our legacy. We are at the start of a long, hard-hitting season, and it’s gonna be important for us to keep our composure on the field to win games. I mean it’s the only way to play ball, relaxed. It brings out your best in you and your teammates. But, overall I am excited to run on Frederick.

Also, last week was a good start for me to prove myself as a legit D-1 player. It’s what I want, and I felt like my performance last week showed off both me and my teammates’ skills. So, I got a solid start and I’m looking to build off that momentum with the help of my line, and carry my same relaxed attitude to the game.
