Missing goat reunited with owner

Firefighters stand with the goat "Crackers".

The goat nicknamed Crackers has been reunited with his owner.

Crackers, whose real name was revealed as Beavis, was found by Windsor Severance Fire Rescue firefighters this past Tuesday night obstructing traffic on Weld County Road 74.

The goat was kept at the fire station in a makeshift tent while firefighters fed him crackers.

In the morning, Severance Animal Control picked up Beavis. According to animal control, he remained there for about four hours before his owners claimed him.

"Its usually uncommon for us to get livestock," said Crystal Starck of Severance Animal Control.

Windsor Severance Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Todd Vess said firefighters thought Crackers was a fun name but are happy Beavis has been reunited with his owner — as well as his brother, Butthead.
