New Severance Middle School principal announced

Carmen Williams has been selected to serve as the principal of Severance Middle School.

The announcement came in a Friday news release from the Windsor Re-4 School District, which stated Williams previously served as an administrator at Lucile Erwin Middle School for seven years in the Thompson R2J School District, and also has served in director roles in central administration.

She began her career as a middle and high school math teacher and girls' basketball coach.

"Carmen has shown a strong commitment to student success throughout her career," said District Superintendent Dan Seegmiller in the release. "As someone who demonstrates a value for innovation and collaboration, she will be a great fit for the district and the Severance Middle School community."

Williams will start with the Windsor school district in July.
