Police release sketch of man who tried to abduct girl from Fort Lupton school

Police have released an artist's rendering of the man they say tried to abduct a 14-year-old girl Wednesday morning from Fort Lupton High School.

A girl reported that a white male exited his vehicle and walked toward her across the high school's south parking lot, according to a news release. The man then pushed her against a fence and told her to "be quiet."

She began to punch him and hit him in the face. He immediately fled in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a tall and thin white male who is approximately 6 feet tall and weighs about 180 pounds. He spoke with a deep voice and was wearing a dark-colored beanie, coat and jeans, police said. He may be in a light-colored station wagon or SUV.

Anyone with any information regarding the case is urged to call the Fort Lupton Police Department at (303) 857-4011.
