Rep. Ken Buck meets Guatemalan president

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Rep. Ken Buck, R-Colo., met with Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales and a delegation from Guatemala on June 19 to discuss U.S.-Guatemalan relations.

Minister of the Interior Francisco Rivas, Director of Police Nery Ramos, Minister of Internation Affairs Carlos Morales and Manuel Espina, nominated ambassador from Guatemala to the U.S, participated in the dinner and discussion.

According to a release from Buck's office, Buck was invited to address the Guatemalan General Assembly in August regarding U.S.-Guatemalan relations. Buck invited Espina to visit the 4th Congressional District.

"I was honored to meet the president of Guatemala this week," Buck stated in the release. "I'm excited to work out the details of Ambassador Espina's visit to the 4th Congressional District and discuss U.S.-Guatemalan security and economic relations."
